With Eastern Europe embracing workforce from Asian countries since 2010, the Sri Lankan migrant worker recruiting market in Romania is also increasing. To date, over 8000 Sri Lankans have been employed by Romanian employers in the apparel, hospitality and construction sectors (statistics from the Sri Lanka Bureau of Employment, 2021). 

WHY WE OFFER THIS TRAINING?

The opportunity to live and work in a new country offers a rare chance to see the world for some, gain new experiences and move careers forward. This life choice however often starts out exciting but when the mental and emotional difficulties of adjusting to a new culture and work environment turn out to be more challenging than expected, it affects the performance of many workers and puts tremendous strain on the worker-employer relationship.   Feeling isolated in an unfamiliar place makes it harder to reach out and find ways to minimize stress, especially without the usual support system from home of family and friends.

Language is the most powerful tool of communication of ideas, thoughts, opinion and emotional expression or social interaction. In terms of communication, in both countries, Sri Lanka and Romania, for some individuals and even some employers,  English language is not  always at comfortable levels, therefore few basic Romanian words and the ability to converse in Romanian is an added value to anyone who decides to live and work in Romania.

We have designed a  Romanian language course for beginners with integrated cultural tips specific to individuals from Sri Lanka who have job offers in Romania.  Benefits of our training:
